Creeksong Farm has been selling produce using organic methods at the Watauga County Farmers' Market since 1979. At that time, few people were concerned about the presence of chemicals in their food, but Jeff and Bettie Thomas, who founded Creeksong Farm, were determined to grow food in a sustainable and healthy manner.
Returning to the farm after college, their son Will Thomas has continued the tradition, expanding the farm operation to include a natural beef operation with Angus cattle, a sustainable timbering plan, and a “subscription” CSA program in the summer providing fresh produce, eggs, and beef for over 60 families!
Creeksong Farm can be found at the Watauga County Farmers' Market at The Horn in the West in Boone, North Carolina every Saturday morning from the beginning of May until the end of October.
Early in the season, we have many plants, including herbs of all varieties and sauce and salad tomato plants. Overall, we grow approximately 150 varieties of vegetables, flowers, and herbs on 4 acres of fields. Creeksong Farm also sells eggs from our free range chickens and humanely raised beef from our angus steers. Come early for the best selection!
